The mission of Southern Pine Electric’s board of directors and employees is to enhance the quality of life of our members and community by safely providing reliable electric energy at an affordable price. Southern Pine Electric Cooperative was chartered in March 1938 to serve 481 homes and farms in Mississippi. Today Southern Pine Electric is one of the largest electric cooperatives in the country with over 10,000 miles of energized line serving almost 67,000 meters.
